Welcome to the RIBA's Professional Education and Development Resource (PEDR). This website provides information, guidance and links to professional services and learning support for those working towards becoming an architect.
This site includes the RIBA Professional Experience and Development Record (PEDR). If you are an architectural student at post Part 1 on your year out, or have completed your Part 2 and are working towards your Part 3 and would like to set up your personal Record of Professional Experience (to record the professional experience and learning in practice that you will need to demonstrate for the 'Part 3' Examination) the first step is to register. If you are already registered to use PEDR you can sign in.

If you need more information about Professional Experience we have 3 guides aimed at students, employers and professional studies advisors.

The scheme is available to students undertaking their year out between Part 1 and Part 2 and those at post Part 2 who have not yet started their Part 3 programme. It will also be useful to graduates of overseas courses in UK who have obtained exemptions through the Architects Registrations Board 'examination' programme. Find out more

The RIBA runs it's own examination in architecture for practice based candidates, delivered by our partners at Oxford Brookes University.
