The learning environment

The PEDR has been designed as a tool for students to reflect on what they have learnt during their professional experience and to plan their professional development in preparation for the Examination in Professional Practice and Management (Part 3).

The PEDR requires students to record the tasks they have undertaken during their professional experience and reflect on their performance, evaluating what they have learnt and how they can develop their skills and experience. The benchmark against which this learning can be evaluated is the RIBA's Outline Syllabus for Part 3, and the RIBA has commissioned advice from 2 experienced architects in practice which gives guidance for students at Stage 1 and 2 mapped against the Part 3 syllabus. To view this comprehensive list of activities please select 'Stage 1 and 2 activities' from the menu on the left. The comprehensive table of guidance is preceded by an introduction explaining the purpose and uses of the guide.
