Free places for unemployed students on Build Up programmes at the University of Westminster

The Build Up programme aims to provide built environment professionals with the opportunity to re-evaluate their careers and enhance their skills in preparation for the predicted up-turn in the economy. Architectural students who have been made redundant while undertaking professional experience are eligible to attend the Build Up courses free of charge.

Between now and September 2010 the University of Westminster will offer free places on the Build Up programme to professionals who are unemployed or under-employed in their chosen field.

Build Up is funded by the HEFCE Economic Challenge Investment Fund (ECIF) for sector re-skilling and Westminster Works - City of Westminster. The programme has been developed in partnership with the sector’s professional bodies, Construction Industry Council, business development organisations and practitioners.

The Build Up programme offers a variety of options. Students can register for sector-specific careers focus events and up to three short courses from the programme. Please refer to the Programme Overview for further details: http://www.wmin.ac.uk/page-18356

Full details of the scheme and a registration form are available from the University of Westminster website: http://www.wmin.ac.uk/page-18252
